HubSpot Reporting Just Got Easier with ADEX in Excel
Building a HubSpot report that shows the data you need for business decisions should be easy. Often, you can find or configure what you need in the user-friendly HubSpot reporting dashboards.
However, there are also times when the right data for a specific use case is in the system…but just out of reach. You can’t analyze what you can’t visualize. So, how can you fix this problem?
With ADEX for HubSpot, you can actually export any data field in HubSpot right into a familiar Excel interface. From there, you can see, sort, and analyze data for your unique use cases.
Here’s How The New ADEX Tool Works
Once the ADEX plugin is installed, you will be able to sign in to HubSpot directly from ADEX in Excel.
Next, select your desired data fields in the ADEX interface. Drag and drop in the order you want them in your report in the order you want. With our latest feature, you can even use the filter function for dynamic queries.
Hit the ‘run’ button to pull data into Excel worksheet from HubSpot. Create pivot tables and reports in Excel as you usually would. Simple as that! You can also save your queries and run them again in the future whenever you need to see the latest data.
Example Use Case: Important Date Fields
We actually came up with the idea of using our ADEX tool with HubSpot because we were having trouble easily tracking customer license expiration dates. Obviously, license expiration dates are in the HubSpot database, but there was no way to filter data to see if one of a customer’s multiple software licenses was expiring in an upcoming month. For example, if a customer had 2 of our ACBM products that expired at different times, we would have to create separate reports and check in multiple places to see this data.
Using ADEX to pull expiration fields into Excel fixed that problem so we can proactively manage customer relationships. Since we found this solution so useful, we figured you could use it too. We’re looking forward to seeing the use cases you come up with!
How Can You Get Started with ADEX
This software is an Excel add-in that connects seamlessly with HubSpot. This means installation is quick and easy, with immediate access to query exactly the data you want. Working with your data in Excel means you can make the reporting as fancy or as simple as you want. The most important thing is that you CAN perform analytics on the right data. And all this is available for a small license fee. You won’t need to pay for expensive custom reports or spend hours trying to build anything complicated.
